the racing line …Jack Brabham leading team mate Denny Hulme (Brabham-Repco BT29), Jackie Stewart & Graham Hill (BRM P261) & in the background we can see Jim Clark (Lotus-Climax 33), 1966 German Grand Prix, Nürburgringdespite an underpowered Lotus, Clark managed to set pole -showing his superior driving skills- but crashed on lap 11, leaving the path clear for Jack Brabham to take his 4th consecutive win of the season, those combined with a 2nd place during the last Grand Prix of the year at Mexico City was more than enough for the Australian to secure his 3rd world title, almost 6 years after his previous title

We saw a similar show at the Oulton Park Gold Cup, the BRM H16’s ran for a few lap’s before breaking, Jim Clark spun off in practice after Knickerbrook before the Dunlop Bridge (we were there), leaving the Brabhams to clear off into the distance!
